About this deal

Sorry you didn’t like it – I love something to taste of what it’s meant to represent (terry’s in this case!) so I love it having a strong flavour. Everyone’s tastes are different however so you can reduce it easily if that’s what you prefer. What you will need however is a 9″ square baking tin – here’s the one I use. Apart from that, you’ll just need a little baking paper too! Can I make this recipe without xanthan gum? Our Orange Chocolate gifts are the perfect balance of cocoa-rich chocolate and vibrant orange, adding a pep of citrus zest to any chocolate. We think it pairs particularly beautifully with milk and dark chocolate — the uplifting fruity flavour shining through, underscored by deeper, nuanced cocoa notes. Take a look and see for yourself. But I wouldn’t recommend using any brown sugars. Also, please don’t try and use syrups to replace the sugar as they will make the mixture too wet and it’ll never cook properly! Can I use different chocolate instead of dark chocolate, like milk chocolate? I made this at Christmas for my boyfriends family, it was my first time meeting the extended family, so had to impress. Well boy did it deliver! It’s so indulgent the perfect treat, cheesecake and terry’s choc orange what’s not to love!

When they first come out of the oven, they’ll still be a little moist if you poke them with a skewer, but after allowing them to cool, they should be the perfect fudgy, consistency. So I made this for fathers day and split the mixture into 3 smaller tins, 12cm diameter. And there was enough mixture to do 3! They tu red out to be a massive hit and were delicious!! A lot of work went into fine tuning ratios and quantities so I wouldn’t mess around with them unless you really know your stuff. I’d recommending using digital cooking scales like these so you know you’re getting an accurate measurement and replicating my recipe as accurately as poss. Can I make your gluten free Easter chocolate orange brownies without sugar? M&S offers a tall blond egg with a lovely snap as you break off pieces to munch on Credit: Gary StoneFirstly, if you haven’t baked them long enough, they’ll definitely be more on the sloppy side than nice and fudgy. We want them to be moist in the middle, but not so that they fall apart when cut. Once the chocolate and butter mixture is cooled a little, pour it into your egg/sugar mixture. Fold it in, it will initially marble and then turn super chocolatey. At this point also add your orange extract and fold it in too. We love Terry’s chocolate orange so it made perfect sense to do this recipe for the first cheesecake I have done and it was so easy. I will definitely be making more. The taste is delicious and the texture so creamy. My family loved it.

Oh and here’s a few tips and frequently asked questions to make sure you make the perfect gluten free Easter chocolate orange brownies every time: Can I make this recipe gluten free? Is it suitable for Coeliacs? It depends on the fat content of your whipping cream – our double cream is 48%, and heavy cream in America is 35% so anything about that should be fine – if not then you can use it anyway but serve it in a dish with sides as it may not hold so well 🙂 x This cake is awesome and way too addictive. I’m supposed to be cutting down on sugar but there’s no chance of that while this is sat in the fridge, but it’s so worth it. If it looks like your cheesecake isn’t setting, or its a but sloppy, or you’re even not sure.. try it anyway. Try to set the mix anyway! If it still doesn’t set, freeze it and have an ice cream cheesecake! You’d think that it’d be a simple swap, but actually it’s a terrible idea I’ve found!! It will massively throw off the fudgy texture of these brownies. Wondering why?

You can happily leave them out or replace them with dairy free chocolate orange bars like these if you like – it’s up to you! Other than that, the brownies themselves are incredibly simple to make dairy free. In short… yes, yes and yes! And I wouldn’t advise attempting any my recipes without them. One of the worst things you can do in any recipe is alter the quantities by mistake or on purpose. Still perfectly edible, but not much of a brownie. Also, make sure you use dark chocolate ALWAYS and never use milk chocolate to make brownies – they won’t work! My brownies are really wet in the middle instead of being fudgy. What did I do? For teaspoon (tsp) and tablespoon (tbsp) measurements, please use measuring spoons* and not the type of spoons you eat with. Again this will ensure accuracy and provide the best results. As you'd expect, it's the same flavour as the traditional Chocolate Orange but the chocolate is thinner and it loses something as a result.
